It had been a while since I'd been to the theater. It's a pretty good movie. I liked the apparently authentic depiction of ANE Jewish culture. However, they fell into the trap of conflating the visit of the Magi with the actual birth event and the shepherds coming to call (like you see on Christmas cards). Most Christians believe that the Magi didn't show up for a couple of years later. I got out and saw this one last week with my wife. It had been a while since I’d been to the theater.
